  • We’re excited to be one of the few dental offices in North Texas offering the latest in advanced technology with the Solea CO₂ Laser—a fast, precise, and virtually noiseless way to treat teeth and soft tissue, without the need for numbing. The Solea CO₂ laser provides analgesia (pain control) during dental procedures like cavity/decay removal for fillings and pediatric crowns through a combination of ultra-fast light pulses and precise targeting of tissue, which effectively blocks the pain signals before they reach the brain. In other words, it gives patients a more comfortable experience with minimal discomfort and reduced appointment time.

Dr. Dragan controls the laser with a foot pedal for precise treatment, and patients often say it feels more like a cool toothbrush than a dental procedure.

Solea also allows us to perform gentle, quick frenectomies for babies and children with lip or tongue ties—conditions that can affect feeding, speech, and oral development. The laser minimizes bleeding, speeds up healing, and gives Dr. Dragan excellent visibility to ensure the best care possible. It’s essentially our “magic wand” in the practice! Curious? Swing by and say hi to see if this futuristic laser could work its magic for you or your child.

  • Let’s be honest—there are plenty of ways to stop cavities in their tracks before they turn into tiny toothy troublemakers. So why aren’t more people using them?

Well… a lot of dental offices are letting insurance companies call the shots—and those guys aren’t exactly fans of paying for anything that sounds fancy or forward-thinking. The result? You’re not always told about the gentler, less scary options.

But not here. At Dragan Smiles, we believe in doing what’s easiest for your kiddos—and most effective, too. That’s probably why you’re here!

Here are a few options we have for you below:

    • Curodont Repair

    • Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)

    • Hall Crown Technique – Crowns without drilling? Yes, please.

    • ICON Resin Infiltration

    • At-Home Protocols – Fight cavities in pajamas? Sign us up.

  • How well does your child sleep? Most parents say “just fine”—but they often don’t share a room and may miss subtle signs of disrupted sleep. That’s why Dr. Dragan takes a deeper look at your child’s sleep structure, from bedtime routines to airway health. If your child snores, grinds their teeth, struggles with speech or feeding, or has behavior concerns, these could be signs of an underlying airway issue. We screen every child using the research-backed "Fairest 6 Assessment" and “Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire” to spot early symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing and underdeveloped jaws. Through a collaborative, whole-child approach—including early orthodontic expansion and partnerships with sleep specialists, ENTs, and myofunctional therapists—we strive to support healthy growth, development, and improved sleep.

Fun fact: If there’s no spacing between baby teeth, there’s a 99% chance of crowding in the adult teeth. Early orthodontic expansion creates space for permanent teeth and can enhance airway health in cases of underdeveloped jaws.

Let’s catch these signs early—so your child can breathe easier, sleep better, and truly thrive.

  • The frenulum (or frenum) is a small band of tissue located beneath your tongue—and you also have one under your upper lip. Having a frenulum is perfectly normal. But sometimes, it can be “tied.”

When the tissue under the tongue is unusually short or tight, it can limit how well the tongue moves. This restriction can affect swallowing, speech development, and breathing. For babies, a tight frenulum may make breastfeeding difficult. For children, it can cause trouble with speech sounds and even lead to breathing issues like mouth breathing during sleep.

Not sure what to do? Don’t worry, Dr. Dragan is here to help; our team works with multiple feeding therapists and myofunctional therapists throughout the metroplex to improve the feeding experience for both mom and baby and improve functionality of the tongue in older kids.

  • Dr. Chance Choate is our resident smile architect and good-vibes guru. As a board-certified orthodontist with over a decade of experience, he’ll be happy to guide you through options to straighten teeth and boost confidence.

  • We understand that dental treatment can be overwhelming for some children, especially when multiple visits are needed. Even with all the care we put into making appointments easy, procedures like fillings, crowns, or extractions can still be a challenge for kids who aren’t quite ready to cooperate—and that’s okay.

Our goal is always to create a positive, stress-free experience. That’s why we offer safe, effective sedation administered by a licensed medical anesthesiologist. It helps keep your child comfortable and relaxed while Dr. Dragan gently completes their treatment. For children with anxiety or fear, sedation can make a big difference—helping build trust, reduce stress, and support a healthy relationship with dental care.
